$10M Cherry Creek penthouse tops Denver area home sales in October
The top home sale in the Denver metro area for October was a Cherry Creek penthouse that sold for $350,000 over its list price. The penthouse, located at Laurel Cherry Creek on Steele Street, was listed for $9.8 million and closed for $10.1 million on Oct. 8 after a bidding war. The property was owned by the estate of George A. Wiegers, a prominent venture capitalist who purchased the penthouse for $6.7 million in June 2019. Wiegers passed away in November 2024.
The penthouse is part of a 71-unit condominium complex designed by JNS Architecture + Interior Design and features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and terraces with views to the west, north, and east. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with professional-grade Wolf appliances, a walk-in pantry with a prep sink, and waterfall stone countertops.
