15-year-old autistic boy missing after leaving North Side gym
Sebastian Scott, a 15-year-old autistic boy, has gone missing after leaving a gym on the North Side of Chicago this weekend. Family and friends are desperately searching for him, hoping for his safe return.
Sebastian was last seen around 9:13 a.m. on Saturday leaving Quads gym in Boystown. According to his father, Gray Scott, Sebastian ran away from his sister after their workout session. Gray Scott shared a social media post expressing his concern, stating that Sebastian does not have his phone or any means of communication. He described his son as harmless but distraught, fearing that he may be headed towards harming himself, possibly by going to the lake.
Sebastian was not wearing glasses when he went missing, but he was dressed in a long gray puffy jacket, gray sweatpants, and black gym shoes. He is 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Gray Scott mentioned that Sebastian tends to look down and rarely looks up unless asked to do so.
Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information that could help locate Sebastian. Paul Rutherford, the Executive Director of Cook County Crime Stoppers, emphasized the importance of coming forward with any information, no matter how small, as it could make a significant difference in finding Sebastian. The Chicago Police Department’s Area 3 Special Victims Unit is leading the search efforts and can be reached at 312-744-8266.
Individuals can also submit tips anonymously to Cook County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-535-STOP or online at www.CPDTIP.com. Tipsters do not need to provide their names and may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to locating Sebastian.
