2 grandsons of late mob boss John Gotti charged with assault in NYC

The Gotti family is once again making headlines, this time with accusations of assault and burglary involving two brothers, John and Frankie Gotti. The grandsons of the infamous “Teflon Don” John Gotti, the brothers are facing charges of attempted assault and harassment for allegedly attacking their brother-in-law, Gino Gabrielli.
The incident reportedly started when Gabrielli broke into John Gotti’s home in Queens, stealing $3,000, jewelry, a watch, wallet, and belt. He was caught on surveillance and arrested on charges of burglary, grand larceny, and possession of stolen property. Following his release, John and Frankie went looking for Gabrielli, leading to a physical altercation.
Caught on the scene by police, the Gotti brothers were seen punching Gabrielli during the fight. They were arrested and pleaded not guilty in Queens Criminal Court. Their lawyer, Gerard Marrone, downplayed the charges, referring to it as a simple assault and a quarrel between in-laws.
Marrone expressed confidence that the case would be dismissed, as Gabrielli would need to sign a supporting deposition within 60 days, which he believes won’t happen. He also suggested that the alleged theft was due to Gabrielli needing money for boxing lessons, implying that he got what was coming to him.
The Gotti family has a long history of involvement in organized crime, with the brothers’ grandfather, John Gotti, leading the Gambino crime family for years before his conviction in 1992. Known for his defiance against the authorities, the elder Gotti passed away in prison in 2002.
John Gotti, the younger, has faced his own legal troubles in the past related to drug dealing. The recent incident involving the Gotti brothers and Gabrielli adds another chapter to the family’s notorious legacy.
