2,000 LA anti-ICE rioters takeover 101 Freeway downtown as self-driving cars lit on fire in chaotic scene

Anti-ICE Protesters Take Over Los Angeles Freeway

On the third day of demonstrations, around 2,000 anti-ICE protesters caused chaos in downtown Los Angeles by taking over a major highway and igniting violence. The LAPD reported that the massive crowd moved onto the 101 Freeway, disrupting traffic around 4 p.m. local time.

Authorities in riot gear formed a line under a bridge to prevent the protesters from advancing on the freeway. California Highway Patrol officers in riot gear intervened, corralling the crowd onto an exit ramp and dispersing gas canisters to control the situation, as reported by NBC Los Angeles.
