Netflix Sets Interactive Reality Series ‘House of Streams’

Netflix is venturing further into the realm of reality television with the upcoming series “House of Streams.” This innovative show combines the elements of traditional unscripted TV with the world of online content creation, creating a unique and interactive viewing experience for audiences.

“House of Streams” will follow eight popular streamers and content creators as they live together in a villa for two weeks, competing for a grand prize of Bitcoin, currently valued at $108,800. The series will be hosted by sports and entertainment presenter Nicole Holliday, known for her work with major EA FIFA streaming tournaments and Sky Sports.

What sets “House of Streams” apart is its fully interactive format, which includes a live chat feature that allows viewers to engage directly with the contestants. This real-time interaction adds an exciting layer to the viewing experience, allowing audiences to participate in decision-making and connect with the show on a deeper level.

The casting process for the series was rigorous, with streamers from around the world auditioning for a spot on the show. After multiple rounds of casting sessions, 8 contestants were selected, each with a significant social media following of over 4 million across various platforms. “House of Streams” is produced by Stream House Media Productions (SHriMP) with support from the Malta Film Commission. The Netflix deal was facilitated by Camelot Films, with producer Luke Croft-Faulkner leading the marketing efforts. According to Matt Hookings, founder and CEO of Camelot Films, “House of Streams” is a much-needed addition to the entertainment industry, offering a fresh and original concept that bridges the gap between online influencers and traditional television audiences.

The format of “House of Streams” has already generated excitement within the streaming and gaming communities, positioning itself as a groundbreaking show that redefines how audiences consume content. The series is set to premiere in the U.K. and Ireland on June 18, promising an immersive and engaging viewing experience for audiences worldwide.
