The immediate improvement in Kennedy’s lung capacity post-surgery was remarkable. Although he faced setbacks such as a post-surgery infection and a stroke, his determination and positive outlook propelled him towards recovery. Pulmonologist Rachel Powers commended Kennedy’s resilience and positive perspective throughout his post-transplant journey.

Today, at 75 years old, Kennedy’s life is slowly returning to normal. With his lung capacity at 98%, he enjoys precious moments with his family, exercises regularly, and even trains his beloved Bernese Mountain dog, Fini, to become a therapy dog.
