Accused killer claims he heard ‘AI voices’ before murdering his grandmother: cops

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that Flores walked into his grandmother’s bedroom, kissed her on the forehead, and then committed the heinous act. The motive behind this brutal crime was shocking – Flores claimed to police that he heard “AI voices” instructing Hernandez to steal his money.

The discovery of Hernandez’s body, covered in blankets and bearing sharp-force injuries, was made during a welfare check on Dec. 29. Flores’ wife had become concerned after he informed her that his grandmother was now in heaven. Following this report, Flores was swiftly tracked down and arrested on a hiking trail the same day.

During police interviews, Flores shared delusional beliefs about his coworkers at a warehouse where he was employed. He expressed paranoia about human trafficking activities and alleged that his colleagues were plotting to harm his wife and children. Flores also believed that Hernandez was conspiring against him to steal his money and support his coworkers who opposed him.

According to police reports, Flores claimed that the “AI voices” had given him a mission to save his family. However, Hernandez’s actions, such as hiding his keys and wallet, delayed his plans, leading him to believe that she was obstructing him. In a chilling revelation, Flores admitted to staying with his grandmother’s body in the apartment until the “AI voices” indicated that his time was up.

It was disclosed that Flores had been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, but he was not taking any prescribed medications. He now faces an open murder charge in connection with Hernandez’s death and is currently held without bail. Flores is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 4 to address the charges against him.
