AccuWeather Strikes Deal to Supply Information to MS NOW, CNBC

MS NOW and CNBC Partner with AccuWeather for Real-Time Weather Reporting

MS NOW and CNBC have always been at the forefront of providing viewers with the latest updates on political and financial news. Now, they are expanding their coverage to include real-time weather reporting thanks to a new partnership with AccuWeather.

This multi-year deal will allow AccuWeather to provide its top-quality weather forecasts and data to MS NOW and CNBC. Viewers can expect to see AccuWeather’s reports featured in daily segments on popular shows like “Morning Joe” and “Squawk Box.”

“At a time when weather events are becoming increasingly unpredictable, we are confident that AccuWeather will deliver accurate and reliable information to our audiences,” said Scott Matthews, senior vice president of newsgathering at MS NOW.

MS NOW, which will soon be rebranded as MSNBC on November 15, has been expanding its newsgathering operations. In addition to the partnership with AccuWeather, the network has also formed an alliance with Sky News for international coverage.

To enhance their weather reporting, MS NOW has brought on board David Parkinson as a senior weather and elections data analyst, and Moses Small as a climate reporter. Parkinson joins from CBS News, while Small joins from Scripps’ KGTV in San Diego. They will work alongside AccuWeather’s expert meteorologists to deliver forecasts across Versant networks.

AccuWeather’s CEO, Steven R. Smith, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “AccuWeather’s forecasts with proven Superior Accuracy will now reach millions more people through this multi-year deal on various platforms.”
