Alan Ritchson Sets Survival Series Featuring Reality Fan-Favorites

Bunim/Murray Productions Announces New Survival Competition Series Hosted by Alan Ritchson

Bunim/Murray Productions is set to launch a thrilling new survival competition series titled “Predator vs. Prey,” with the charismatic “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson at the helm as both host and executive producer.

“Predator vs. Prey” will see 15 seasoned survivalists from popular shows like “Alone,” “Outlast,” “Naked & Afraid,” and “Survivor” embarking on a grueling 21-day challenge in a rugged 25-square mile wilderness setting. Split into two teams, the Predators must capture Prey to earn up to $500,000, while the Prey strive to evade capture and secure cash prizes. Each episode will introduce new challenges that test the contestants’ wit and endurance, pushing them to their limits.

The brainchild of Gayani Wanigaratne, Bunim/Murray’s senior vice president of development, and Ritchson himself, “Predator vs. Prey” promises a heart-pounding viewing experience that combines strategic gameplay with the raw intensity of survival in the wild.

Known for his roles in “Reacher,” “Smallville,” and “Fast X,” Ritchson brings a wealth of experience to the project. Bunim/Murray, a Banijay Americas division famed for unscripted hits like “The Real World” and “The Challenge,” is thrilled to collaborate with Ritchson on this innovative series.

Wanigaratne expressed excitement about the show, stating, “This series will be the ultimate test of grit and strength, pitting top survival stars against each other in a relentless game of chase and survival through a challenging wilderness environment. Partnering with Alan to co-develop this format, fueled by his passion for the survival space, brings an authentic edge and fresh creative perspective. His first question to us was, when does he get to parachute into the wilderness to greet the players!”

Ritchson shared his enthusiasm for the project, declaring, “Seeing the world’s best survivalists pitted against each other in a high-octane game of hide-and-seek, all while surviving days or weeks in the most frighteningly unpredictable scenarios Mother Nature has to offer … TV doesn’t get more exciting than this. I can’t wait to be in the wild with these contestants.”
