‘American Idol’ Alum Caleb Flynn Calls 911 to Report Wife Is Shot, Hear Audio

“American Idol” alum Caleb Flynn is under arrest for allegedly murdering his wife, Ashley, after he called 911 to report that someone had broken into their Ohio home and shot her.

Flynn reported that the garage door was open, their kids were asleep in the house, and his wife’s face was “white as a ghost.”

After calling 911, Flynn remained on the line with dispatch as the police arrived at the scene.

Flynn was arrested for murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence, and he showed no expression in his mug shot taken at the county jail.

Law enforcement revealed that Flynn shot his wife using a 9mm semiautomatic handgun and then staged the crime scene.

Despite auditioning for “American Idol” in 2013, Flynn didn’t make the cut. He previously expressed his love for music and his wife in an interview.
