‘Amorous’ couple caught on camera having sex in Arizona eatery before robbing it arrested
The steamy late-night heist at Mon Cheri Restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, made headlines when a lusty couple was caught on security camera having sex before allegedly robbing the establishment. Corrisa Sucanick, 30, and Brian Morrow, 39, were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary for breaking into the restaurant around 3:50 a.m. on October 25.
The couple made off with $450 in cash, an iPhone 5, and a bottle of Bacardi rum, as captured by surveillance cameras. They were seen getting intimate among the floral decorations near the outdoor patio before forcing their way inside the popular bistro. The restaurant owner, Lexi Caliskan, described the scene as a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde moment, with the pair caught in the moment amidst the roses.
After the restaurant posted the surveillance video on social media to identify the couple, tips from the community led to the arrest of Sucanick on November 3 and Morrow at a Phoenix hotel the following day. Both were also charged with possession of burglary tools. Despite their amorous activities being caught on camera, Scottsdale police stated that the couple would not face charges for their romantic rendezvous.
Authorities clarified that the footage did not meet the criteria for criminal charges related to their intimate activities. Sucanick and Morrow were both booked at the Maricopa County jail for third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. The bizarre incident at Mon Cheri Restaurant ended with the frisky couple behind bars, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
