An-Li Bogan Joins Emily Deschanel in Criminal Profiler Pilot at NBC
An-Li Bogan Lands Lead Role in NBC Drama Pilot Inspired by Real-Life Profiler
An-Li Bogan has been announced as the latest addition to the cast of an untitled NBC drama pilot created by Dean Georgaris and John Fox, as reported by Variety. Bogan will be starring alongside Emily Deschanel in this new project, which draws inspiration from the work of Dr. Ann Burgess, a renowned expert profiler and author.
The pilot follows Professor Georgia Ryan (played by Deschanel), a pioneering psychologist who challenges traditional methods of criminology by focusing on the victim rather than solely the perpetrator. With her team, Professor Ryan collaborates with the FBI to solve complex and elusive cases by uncovering crucial clues that are often overlooked.
Bogan’s character, Natalie Washington, possesses a rare condition known as hyperthymesia, allowing her to remember every detail of her life with perfect clarity. This extraordinary gift makes her an invaluable asset in investigations, as she can instantly recall details that others may forget and identify patterns that others may miss.
Known for her roles in films such as “The American Society of Magical Negroes” and shorts like “Let” and “Half Moon,” Bogan recently completed filming for the indie feature “Echo Lake.” She has also made appearances on TV shows like “Bull” and “Elementary” on CBS. Bogan is represented by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Georgaris and Fox serve as writers and executive producers for the pilot, with John Davis executive producing through Davis Entertainment. Deschanel will not only star in the series but also take on a producing role. Dr. Ann Burgess and Steve Constantine are consulting producers, while Universal Television will handle production.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new project as it develops.
