Anti-white attacker pummeled stranger who glanced at her in unprovoked NYC subway assault: cops, sources

A disturbing incident unfolded onboard a Manhattan train over the weekend, where a hate-fueled attacker allegedly assaulted a stranger in an unprovoked attack. The assailant, identified as Genesis Gittens, who recently turned 20, was causing a commotion on a southbound L train at the 1st Avenue and East 14th Street station around 2:10 a.m. on Sunday. A 28-year-old man sitting in front of her innocently glanced in her direction, triggering a violent reaction from Gittens.

In a fit of rage, Gittens began punching the man in the face while hurling derogatory slurs such as “White boy” and “cracker” at him. The victim, who suffered a bloody nose from the assault, declined medical assistance despite the injuries sustained. Gittens was apprehended less than an hour later and charged with third-degree assault as a hate crime.

Following the disturbing incident on the L train, another attack occurred at the 34th Street-Hudson Yards No. 7 train station around 9 a.m. on Sunday. An individual, believed to be homeless, launched a surprise assault on a 35-year-old MTA cleaner who was on duty. The assailant struck the cleaner from behind, repeatedly punching him in the back of the head and kicking him while he was on the ground. The attacker, who was barefoot and clad in all gray with a blue blanket, fled the scene and remained at large as of Monday.

Despite the violent assault, the MTA cleaner declined medical attention at the scene. These incidents underscore the importance of addressing violence and hate crimes in public spaces and ensuring the safety of individuals who rely on public transportation. It is crucial for authorities to investigate these incidents thoroughly and hold the perpetrators accountable for their actions.
