Artists Equity Expands Leadership Team with Addition of Amy Baer as President of Film and Television
Artists Equity, the studio co-founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has recently welcomed Amy Baer as the new president of film and television. Baer, who previously served as the president of Gidden Media for over 13 years, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She will report to Affleck and Dillon West, the co-founders of Artists Equity.
Baer’s impressive career includes leadership roles at major studios and successful independent producing ventures. She has been involved in multiple Oscar-nominated films and has a track record of balancing creative integrity with commercial success. In her new role at Artists Equity, Baer will oversee the studio’s production slate, which includes a variety of upcoming projects such as “Air,” “The Instigators,” “The Accountant 2,” “Unstoppable,” and “Small Things Like These.”

Baer’s career spans over three decades and includes successful collaborations with major studios and independent productions. She has been involved in projects that have collectively grossed over $2 billion at the global box office. Her previous roles include serving as president of Landline Pictures and launching CBS Films.
At Sony Pictures, Baer oversaw the production of several successful films such as “Moneyball,” “The Pursuit of Happyness,” and “The Holiday.” Artists Equity recently announced a three-year partnership with Sony Pictures for financing and global theatrical distribution of their upcoming projects.
