Bam Margera Says No to ‘Jackass’ Reunion: ‘Damage Is Done’
Bam Margera, known for his stunts and skateboarding skills, is making a comeback with his latest project. He is featured as the “secret skater” in the video game remake of “Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4.” Despite this return to the spotlight, Margera has made it clear that he will not be returning to his “Jackass” roots.
In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Margera expressed his reluctance to reunite with the “Jackass” crew. He cited past grievances, including being sent to treatment and not being included in a movie after, as reasons for his decision. Margera also revealed that he had to take legal action against Paramount, Johnny Knoxville, and Spike Jonze after being fired from the series revival feature “Jackass Forever” in 2021. The lawsuit stemmed from Margera testing positive for Adderall during production, which violated a wellness agreement he had signed with producers. A settlement was eventually reached in 2022.
Johnny Knoxville, the leader of the “Jackass” group, addressed the situation with Margera in a statement to GQ, stating that he simply wants Margera to get better. Margera, on the other hand, has closed the door on the possibility of reviving his MTV reality series “Viva La Bam,” explaining that he feels that type of show has run its course. He highlighted the changes in his life, including getting married, starting a family, and moving out of his parents’ house, as reasons for not wanting to revisit the past.
Despite his reservations about returning to his previous projects, Margera is excited about his involvement in “Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4.” The video game remake is now available on all major gaming consoles and PC, giving fans a chance to experience Margera’s skateboarding skills in a new way.
Overall, while Bam Margera may be stepping back from his past endeavors, he is still finding ways to stay active in the entertainment world. His inclusion in the video game remake is a testament to his enduring popularity and talent in the skateboarding community.
