Shares Positive Update After Lung Cancer Diagnosis
Accompanied by a Selfie from the Hospital
Published
Barry Manilow is providing a positive update just two weeks after disclosing his lung cancer diagnosis.
The legendary “Copacabana” singer took to Instagram on Friday to share a selfie from a hospital bed, wearing a hospital gown and sporting a cheerful smile. The photo, seemingly taken on a phone, includes a grey text bubble that reads “Better Today!” below it.
In December, Barry revealed the discovery of a cancerous spot on his left lung during an MRI prompted by a prolonged battle with bronchitis.
He announced that he would undergo surgery to remove the cancer, leading to the rescheduling of his upcoming January performances.
While there’s still a road to recovery ahead, fans are relieved to hear the optimistic update from the music icon.
