“Futurama” Season 13 Trailer Features Bender Fighting Godzilla and More
The highly anticipated Season 13 of “Futurama” is set to premiere on Hulu on September 15 at 8 p.m. ET. The trailer for the new season teases some exciting developments, including Bender fighting Godzilla and hitting on kissing Siamese twins.
According to the logline for the upcoming episodes, fans can expect a wild ride with Bender rampaging out of control, a volcano on the brink of eruption, Fry competing for Leela’s love, and even Dr. Zoidberg rising up to heaven. The sheer excitement of the new season might be too much for fans to handle.
Created by “Simpsons” mastermind Matt Groening, “Futurama” is set in the 31st century in New New York, a futuristic city built upon the ruins of present-day New York City. The show follows the adventures of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy who is cryogenically frozen in the year 2000 and wakes up 1,000 years later in the year 3000. Alongside him are Leela, a one-eyed mutant; Bender, a cigar-smoking robot; Professor Farnsworth, a mad scientist; Conrad, a Jamaican accountant; Dr. Zoidberg, a Decapodian physician; and Amy Wong, an astrophysicist student.
After a 10-year hiatus, “Futurama” returned for its second revival run on Hulu in July 2023. The series originally premiered on Fox in 1999, then returned for Season 5 on Comedy Central after a six-year break. Following five seasons on Comedy Central, the show spent another decade in hibernation before being revived once again on Hulu for Season 13.
The show’s creators, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, serve as executive producers alongside Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz. The talented voice cast includes Billy West, Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, Maurice LaMarche, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, and more.
Fans can catch all the action and humor of “Futurama” Season 13 on Hulu, with two episodes airing per week on FXX starting September 15. Don’t miss out on the exciting adventures of Fry, Leela, Bender, and the rest of the gang in the futuristic world of New New York.
