Bengals QB Joe Burrow leaves game with left toe injury during 2nd quarter against Jaguars

The Cincinnati Bengals faced a setback on Sunday as quarterback Joe Burrow left the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars after suffering a left toe injury in the second quarter. The injury occurred when Burrow was sacked by Jaguars defensive tackle Arik Armstead, resulting in a 5-yard loss at the Bengals 35-yard line.

Following the play, Burrow was seen limping on the sidelines before being taken to the locker room for further evaluation. The Bengals later announced that his return to the game was questionable, leaving fans concerned about the severity of his injury.

In Burrow’s absence, backup quarterback Jake Browning took over the reins, hoping to lead the team to victory. Burrow, who led the league in passing yards and touchdowns last season, has had his fair share of injuries throughout his career, including a knee injury in his rookie season and a wrist injury in 2023.

Despite the setback, Burrow managed to complete 7 of 13 passes for 76 yards and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Ja’Marr Chase before exiting the game. The Bengals will be closely monitoring Burrow’s condition in the coming days to determine the extent of his injury and his availability for future games.
