Berkshire meeting ‘bazaar’ features Buffett Squishmallows, 60th anniversary book and giant claw machine

The Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting in Omaha, Nebraska is always a highly anticipated event for investors. This year, attendees are in for a treat with a more interactive shopping experience than ever before.
The “Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains” kicked off the convention with a bang, offering a wide array of products from Berkshire’s holdings. From Warren Buffett-themed apparel to chocolate coins from See’s Candies, shareholders had over 20,000 square feet of showroom space to explore.
One of the standout attractions at the event was the Squishmallows display. These plush toys, modeled after Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, and a new limited-edition dog character called “Omaha,” were a huge hit with shareholders. Berkshire acquired Squishmallows parent Jazwares in the fourth quarter of 2022, and the company has been a sensation ever since.
In addition to Squishmallows, Berkshire showcased its newest product – pillows for both kids and adults. Shareholders had the opportunity to purchase special edition pillow cases featuring cartoon figures of Buffett and Munger.
Another highlight of the event was the sale of the limited edition book, “60 Years of Berkshire Hathaway,” commemorating Buffett’s tenure with the company. Proceeds from the auction of signed copies will benefit the Stephen Center, a charity for homeless youth and adults in South Omaha.
For those with a sweet tooth, See’s Candies had a variety of themed chocolates available for purchase, including toasted marshmallow-flavored chocolates and chocolate coins with Buffett’s face on the wrapper. Dairy Queen also provided sweet treats, with Dilly Bars and Buster Bars on offer.
Attendees also had the opportunity to purchase special edition Brooks Running shoes with “Berkshire Hathaway” branding, as well as participate in the Brooks “Invest in Yourself” 5K fun run and walk.
Other attractions at the event included a giant claw machine where attendees could win prizes from Berkshire’s holding companies, a private jet display from NetJets, and a service from AIT Worldwide Logistics to pack and ship purchases home.
Overall, the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting offered a unique shopping experience for investors, with a wide range of products and activities to enjoy. With exclusive products, interactive displays, and charitable initiatives, the event showcased the diverse portfolio of companies under the Berkshire umbrella.
