Beta Film Inks Secuoya Studios, William Levy’s ‘Volcano’ ‘Arcadia’

Beta Film, a Munich-based company, has recently acquired the sales rights to two William Levy-starrers, “Under a Volcano” and “Road to Arcadia,” at Madrid’s Iberseries & Platino Industria event.

“Road to Arcadia” is a gripping crime thriller that spans six hours. Levy plays Pablo, the coach of a Canadian wrestling team who leads a quiet life with his son Bruno and partner Irene. However, when his wife resurfaces, their dark past is revealed, leading to unexpected twists and turns.

On the other hand, “Under a Volcano” is a romantic action thriller where Levy portrays Captain Mario Torres, a rescue pilot sent to Tenerife as a volcano becomes active. There, he meets volcanologist Dani, played by Maggie Civantos, and they must navigate both the volcanic eruption and their growing feelings for each other.

Both series, “Road to Arcadia” and “Under a Volcano,” are part of a collaboration between Secuoya Studios, William Levy Entertainment, and ViX, a Mexican SVOD operator. Directed by Jorge Saavedra, “Road to Arcadia” is produced for SkyShowtime and ViX, promising an exciting viewing experience for audiences.

These series hold significant potential for streaming services, given Levy’s past successes in shows like “The Scent of Passion” and “Montecristo.” Additionally, Beta Film is also selling the third season of “El Inmortal – Gangs of Madrid,” a mob thriller that follows a man’s rise in the Madrid narco underworld.

The relationship between Beta Film and Spain dates back 15 years, with successful sales of popular Spanish series like “Grand Hotel” and “Velvet” to Latin America. This collaboration has led to increased viewership on platforms like Netflix and has paved the way for future partnerships.

Overall, Beta Film’s acquisition of “Under a Volcano” and “Road to Arcadia” showcases their commitment to bringing quality content to international audiences. With a strong lineup of diverse series, they continue to solidify their position in the global entertainment industry.
