Beverly Hills hotspot Croft Alley frequented by Hollywood stars coming to NYC
A new addition to Manhattan’s chic Soho neighborhood next month will be Croft Alley, a Beverly Hills hotspot frequented by celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Harrison Ford, and Kendall Jenner. Restaurateur Michael Della Femina is bringing his “inspired comfort food” concept to 210 Sixth Ave., taking over the space previously occupied by Greek eatery Lola Taverna.
The 1,500 square foot Croft Alley location will offer indoor and outdoor seating, with entrances on MacDougal Street and Sixth Avenue. Della Femina’s partners for this venture are Adam Rubin, Andrew Shanfeld, Madison Bright, and chef Phuong Tran. The menu will feature favorites like tuna melts and a $30 order of soft scrambled eggs with black truffles, avocado, prosciutto, and toast, as well as new dishes tailored for the NYC audience.
Della Femina shared that he has always been drawn to the Soho neighborhood, as his grandfather grew up nearby. The restaurant will also be open for dinner, a departure from its Beverly Hills location, which primarily serves breakfast and lunch with private events at night and a weekly cocktail club.
Expanding to New York was a natural step for Della Femina, who has been looking for the right space for four years. The decor will likely include a 1940s radio, a signature feature at each of the family’s restaurants. Della Femina’s father, ad legend Jerry Della Femina, has been a huge inspiration for his son, and a signature family dish may also make an appearance on the menu.
In addition to the Croft Alley news, NYC foodies can look forward to Italian-style brunch offerings at Fresco by Scotto in Midtown and Dell’anima in the West Village. Chef and restaurateur Djamel Omari’s Canto West Village has also opened a new 120-square-foot sidekick, Canto Café, known for its trendy breakfast chicken Caesar salad with an egg wrap and lunch options like soups and house-made pastas.
Overall, the NYC dining scene continues to evolve with exciting new additions and offerings for food enthusiasts to enjoy.
