Beyoncé fan’s scream over bug sparked stampede after ‘Cowboy Carter’ show in Atlanta, hospitalizing 11

A 10-year-old girl’s scream over an insect sparked chaos at the Vine City MARTA station in Atlanta, landing 11 people in the hospital after Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour stop. The panic started as fans were leaving the nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium following the Queen Bey’s performance.

Authorities reported that the scream outside the station triggered a chain reaction, causing panic among concertgoers. People began running down the escalator, which briefly sped up before coming to a sudden stop, resulting in people falling on top of each other.

MARTA acting CEO Rhonda Allen stated that the transit authority will improve crowd management for future events by adding staff and implementing tighter crowd control measures. The escalator involved in the incident has been barricaded, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the malfunction.

Beyoncé fan Amber Anderson described being pinned under a man as a mob of at least 20 people fell on top of each other during the stampede. She expressed fear and disappointment that the incident overshadowed the amazing concert experience.

The chaos unfolded just hours after Beyoncé’s unreleased music was stolen from a vehicle belonging to a member of her team in Atlanta. Choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue reported the theft of two suitcases containing new music, tour plans, and personal sensitive information.

In addition to the stolen music, clothing, laptops, and AirPods were also taken. The incident added to the challenges faced by Beyoncé and her team during the “Cowboy Carter” tour stop in Atlanta.
