Bill, Hillary Clinton to testify on Jeffrey Epstein relationship — cave to Comer ahead of contempt vote

A spokesperson for Bill Clinton appeared to confirm this decision, indicating that the Clintons have agreed to appear for depositions and have accepted the terms outlined in Comer’s recent letter. This move comes after Comer rejected an offer from the couple proposing restrictions on the scope of President Clinton’s testimony and a sworn declaration from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in place of depositions.

“They negotiated in good faith. You did not. They told you under oath what they know, but you don’t care. But the former President and former Secretary of State will be there,” Angel Urena wrote on X, emphasizing the Clintons’ willingness to cooperate and address the committee’s concerns.

Comer had initially refused the Clintons’ offer for limited testimony, prompting a pause in the Rules Committee proceedings. However, with the Clintons now agreeing to testify, the committee is expected to move forward with the depositions.
