‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff ‘Boston Blue’ Casts Gloria Reuben

Gloria Reuben has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of “Boston Blue,” the highly anticipated “Blue Bloods” spinoff set to debut on CBS later this year.

Reuben will be portraying the character of Mae Silver, who holds the important position of Boston’s district attorney. Described as the strong-willed matriarch of a family deeply rooted in law enforcement, Mae is the widow of a judge who tragically lost his life on the courthouse steps. Her blended family includes her daughter Lena, a detective with the Boston Police Department, her stepdaughter Sarah, who serves as the police superintendent, and her son Jonah, a rookie cop. Mae is known for her decisive nature and unwavering commitment to justice.

The lead role in “Boston Blue” is reprised by Donnie Wahlberg, who fans will recognize as Danny Reagan from “Blue Bloods.” The series follows Danny as he transitions to a new role within the Boston police department, where he finds himself partnered with Lena, played by Sonequa Martin-Green.

Gloria Reuben, a talented actress known for her role as Jeanie Boulet on the long-running medical drama “ER,” has garnered critical acclaim throughout her career.
