‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff ‘Boston Blue’ Casts Marcus Scribner

Marcus Scribner has officially joined the cast of “Boston Blue,” the highly anticipated CBS spinoff of the hit series “Blue Bloods.” In this new show, Scribner will be portraying the character of Jonah Silver, the youngest member of the Silver family who is following in the footsteps of his law enforcement-oriented mother and sisters.

According to the character description, Jonah is described as a confident and charismatic rookie cop who is frustrated with being on the sidelines of the city’s biggest investigations. The Silver family dynamic includes Jonah’s mother, district attorney Mae Silver, his grandfather, reverend Edwin Peters, his sister, detective Lena Silver, and his stepsister Sarah. Sarah became a part of the family when Mae married her father, Ben Silver, during Sarah’s teenage years.

“Boston Blue” also features Donnie Wahlberg, reprising his role as Danny Reagan from “Blue Bloods.” The series follows Danny as he makes the move from New York to join the Boston Police Department, where he partners up with Lena Silver.

Marcus Scribner gained fame for his role as Junior in the long-running series “Black-ish,” earning him two NAACP Image Awards. He has also appeared in other projects such as “Grown-ish,” “How to Blow Up a Pipeline,” “Along for the Ride,” and “Farewell Amor.”

The show is set to premiere on CBS in the fall and is produced by CBS Studios in collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis are the showrunners and executive producers, with Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Wahlberg also serving as executive producers. The distribution of the series will be handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Fans of Marcus Scribner and “Blue Bloods” can look forward to seeing him in this exciting new chapter of the franchise when “Boston Blue” hits the small screen later this year.
