Body found in search for Brian Tarrence in Turks and Caicos

Decomposed Body Found in Search for Missing New York Man in Turks and Caicos

A disturbing discovery has been made in the search for a New York man who went missing under mysterious circumstances in Turks and Caicos last week. Local authorities have reported that a decomposed body of a male was found during the search efforts in the area of Grace Bay. However, they have not confirmed whether the body belongs to Brian Tarrence, the missing individual, as reported by CBS, citing the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force.

Brian Tarrence, a 51-year-old man from Manhattan, disappeared three days after arriving on the lush Caribbean island for a romantic anniversary getaway with his wife. Security footage captured him leaving his Airbnb at Paradise Inn in Grace Bay around 3:30 a.m.

His wife, who remains in Turks and Caicos, has enlisted the help of a private investigator to aid in the search efforts. Tarrence, who worked as the vice president of Diligent Software, reportedly had his cellphone and wallet with him when he left his rental property and was in a supposedly safe area, according to the private investigator.

“So far, we haven’t been successful in anything, but we’re not giving up hope,” said private investigator Carl DeFazio, a former NYPD officer and US Marine, in an interview with Fox News. DeFazio is actively working to obtain records of Tarrence’s phone activity on the island to piece together his movements and hopefully locate him alive.

It is worth noting that the US State Department issued a travel advisory in March for tourists visiting Turks and Caicos due to a rise in violent robberies and gun-related crimes in the region. Despite these concerning statistics, investigators have not indicated any suspicion of criminal activity in Tarrence’s disappearance.
