Boy, 16, shot on grounds of NYC public housing complex: cops
A shooting incident occurred on Friday morning at a Bronx public housing complex, where a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back. The incident took place at East 161st Street and Forest Avenue, which is part of NYCHA’s William McKinley Houses in Morrisania. The victim was immediately taken to Harlem Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The details surrounding the shooting, including the suspect and the circumstances leading to the gunfire, are still unknown. This incident follows another violent altercation the day before, where a teen was stabbed during a brawl with three other individuals near Yankee Stadium.
In the previous incident, a young teen was stabbed in the right side of his stomach during a fight at East 163rd Street and Grand Concourse in Concourse Village. He was also taken to Harlem Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Additionally, in another shooting incident that occurred just after midnight on Thursday, a 27-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were shot outside a building on Briggs Avenue near East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Heights.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with these incidents. The authorities are actively investigating these cases to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety of the community.
