‘Boys From Brazil’ Series Ordered at Netflix With Jeremy Strong

Netflix has given the green light to a new series adaptation of the novel “The Boys From Brazil.” The show will be led by Jeremy Strong and will also feature Gillian Anderson, Daniel Brühl, August Diehl, Lizzy Caplan, and Shira Haas. The streaming giant has ordered five one-hour episodes, with production scheduled to begin in December across various locations in the UK, Germany, Bulgaria, and Spain.

The series is set across three decades, starting from the aftermath of World War II to the political unrest of the 1970s. It follows Yakov Liebermann, a Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter portrayed by Jeremy Strong, on his mission to bring Nazi fugitives to justice. When one of his undercover protégées in Brazil uncovers a shocking Nazi plan, Liebermann races against time to expose the truth that a sadistic Nazi scientist, Dr. Johann-Friedrich Meinhardt, believed to be dead, is actually alive and plotting to bring about the rise of a Fourth Reich.

The adaptation for the small screen has been done by Peter Morgan, the creator of the acclaimed Netflix drama “The Crown,” who also serves as an executive producer. Suzanne Mackie and Simon Heath are additional executive producers for Orchid Pictures and World Productions, respectively, with Alex Gabassi directing. Oona O’Beirn and Andy Stebbing are on board as producers for the series.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new project!
