Brittany Noble Tackles ‘The Breakdown’ Newscast for Black Star Network
Brittany Noble, a seasoned news anchor and correspondent, is embarking on her second week as the anchor of “The Breakdown,” a live newscast on Roland Martin’s Black Star Network. With experience working for various local TV stations across the country, Noble’s new show marks a full circle moment in her journalism career, as she returns to where it all began in 2014 during the aftermath of the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
“The Breakdown With Brittany Noble” streams live at noon ET on weekdays, offering a mix of up-to-the-minute headlines, newsmaker interviews, trends, and a segment called “For the Culture.” Noble’s collaboration with Roland Martin, a fellow advocate for Black-owned media, has allowed her to break free from the constraints of traditional news outlets and reach a wider audience through digital platforms.
Black Star Network, founded by Martin, has provided a platform for Noble to share stories that matter to the Black community, a freedom she felt was limited in her previous roles. The transition to digital news has been a natural progression for Noble, who recognizes the power of social media in reaching a broader audience with real-time news updates.
As Noble settles into her new role, she aims to make “The Breakdown” a community effort, inviting experts and viewers to contribute to the conversation. With a focus on inclusivity and the promotion of Black voices, Noble hopes to address important issues facing Black communities in today’s society.
The partnership between Noble and Martin exemplifies the importance of independent journalism in the digital age, offering a platform for underrepresented voices and diverse perspectives. As Noble looks ahead to the future of “The Breakdown,” she is grateful for the opportunity to share news and information with a broader audience, transcending geographical boundaries and reaching viewers across the country.
