Bronx burst of violence sees boy, 14, stabbed near Yankee Stadium, man, woman, shot further north: cops

An incident of violence rocked the Bronx on Thursday morning, resulting in a 14-year-old boy getting stabbed during a brawl with three other kids near Yankee Stadium. The altercation took place at East 163rd Street and Grand Concourse in Concourse Village, where the teen was stabbed in the right side of his stomach around 9 a.m. Fortunately, he was quickly transported to Harlem Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The cause of the fight is still unknown, but the young victim was involved in a dispute with the suspects before the attack. The NYPD released images of the suspects, described as baby-faced and wearing backpacks, in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a man and a woman were shot outside a building on Briggs Avenue near East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Heights just after midnight. The 27-year-old woman sustained two gunshot wounds in the lower back, while the 42-year-old man was shot in the right hand.

Law enforcement sources revealed that the police are on the lookout for three men, two of whom are believed to be the shooters involved in the incident. Descriptions provided by sources indicate that one gunman was wearing a light gray hoodie and black sweatpants, while the other had on a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. The third individual was dressed in all black. Thirteen shell casings were recovered at the scene, prompting an investigation into whether the victims were targeted or innocent bystanders.
