Brooklyn spitter left bloodied by two men ‘tired’ of his vile antics
Street Justice: Man Allegedly Spitting on Women Gets Beat Down in Williamsburg
Anthony Caines, the man arrested by the NYPD for allegedly spitting in the faces of white women in Williamsburg, found himself on the receiving end of street-style justice in a video that went viral on social media.
The video showed two men attacking a man who appeared to be Caines outside a hair salon on Sixth Street. Caines, curled up in a defensive position on the sidewalk, was repeatedly punched and kicked by the two attackers.
With a gash above his left eye and a knot over his right eye, Caines was left wailing in pain as the men continued to deliver blows. The attackers can be heard warning Caines to stop violating women and making their community look bad.
Despite his arrest for the spitting incidents, Caines seemed to acknowledge his wrongdoing, stating, “I went to jail, didn’t I?” However, the attackers were not satisfied with that response, claiming they were worse than jail before delivering a final punch to his head.
Caines was initially arrested on November 13 for his spitting spree and released the following day with an ankle monitor after pleading not guilty to charges of aggravated harassment based on race or religion.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office is still seeking information from additional victims who have yet to come forward. The NYPD did not receive a report about the assault on Caines, and the original poster of the video did not respond to inquiries from The Post.
