Brother of alleged killer Paul Caneiro lays low in Porsche after being accused as real murderer
The luxurious Jersey Shore home of Corey Caneiro, the younger brother of accused quadruple murderer Paul Caneiro, is currently under scrutiny after being implicated in the gruesome Colts Neck killings. Corey, 52, was recently seen at his stunning oceanfront mansion in Sea Bright, where he has been keeping a low profile following allegations made by his brother’s lawyers.
According to attorney Monika Mastellone, Corey should have been investigated for the 2018 murders of his brother Keith, sister-in-law, and young niece and nephew. While prosecutors have pointed the finger at Paul for the brutal slayings, Mastellone suggested that Corey’s financial troubles were even more severe than his brother’s.
Despite the accusations, there were no visible signs of financial strain outside Corey’s home, where a white 2005 Porsche Boxster and a black 2006 Porsche 911 were parked. Corey, dressed in a pink hoodie and sunglasses, declined to answer questions and quickly drove off in the black coupe.
Interestingly, both Corey and Paul shared a love for luxury cars, with Paul leasing multiple Porsches and even paying for a lease on an Audi Q5 for his alleged mistress. The financial pressures stemming from Paul’s extramarital affair and mounting debts are believed to have been the catalyst for the tragic events that unfolded in Colts Neck.
Prosecutors claim that Paul siphoned funds from a trust belonging to Keith, sparking a confrontation between the brothers that ultimately led to the violent murders. Paul allegedly shot Keith, stabbed Jennifer, Jesse, and Sophia, and set fire to their home before setting fire to his own residence in an attempt to mislead investigators.
As the investigation unfolds, Corey Caneiro remains at the center of speculation, with his lavish lifestyle and potential financial troubles casting a shadow over the already shocking case. The truth behind the Colts Neck murders continues to unravel, revealing a web of deceit and betrayal that has torn a family apart.
