Buffett to sit with board members at 2026 Berkshire meeting, won’t appear on stage: report
Warren Buffett, the founder and Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, will not be making his usual appearance at the company’s 2026 shareholders’ meeting, as reported by the Omaha World-Herald.
Instead, Buffett will be seated with the company’s board of directors while Greg Abel, the incoming CEO and current vice chairman, will field questions from shareholders.
According to Susie Buffett, Warren Buffett’s daughter and a Berkshire board member, Abel will be taking the stage next year as per Buffett’s request.
Abel confirmed to the newspaper that the next annual meeting will be held in Omaha on May 2. Reuters was unable to verify the report, and Berkshire did not respond immediately to a request for comment from Reuters.
