Caitlin Clark getting cooked all camp

WNBA fans were buzzing on social media as clips from Team USA’s training camp surfaced showing Caitlin Clark struggling on defense once again, this time against Kelsey Plum. In the video, Plum confidently asked for the ball before making a strong move to the rim with Clark attempting to guard her.

This isn’t the first time that clips of Clark’s defensive struggles have gone viral during the camp. Earlier, a similar video showed Paige Bueckers hitting a side-step 3-pointer on the Indiana Fever star, adding to the criticism aimed at Clark.

After the footage of Plum’s play made its rounds on Instagram, fans took to the comments section to express their thoughts and troll the star guard. Some fans remarked that Clark has been consistently “getting cooked” throughout the camp, while others questioned whether these clips were part of a deliberate agenda.

Despite the backlash, Clark recently shared that she is feeling “back to 100%” during Team USA’s training camp after a season plagued with soft tissue injuries that limited her to just 13 games with the Indiana Fever. She last played for the team on Jul. 15.

While the clips of her defensive breakdowns have garnered attention, other footage from the camp showcases Clark’s exceptional shooting skills during team drills. The Fever star expressed her excitement to be back on the court and emphasized the importance of the WNBPA and the league finalizing the CBA negotiations for the upcoming 2026 WNBA season.

Despite missing a significant portion of the previous season, Indiana was on the cusp of reaching the Finals, falling 3-2 to the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals. With Clark’s return, the team could potentially become a strong contender in the league.

As fans continue to dissect Clark’s performance at the Team USA camp, it remains to be seen how she will bounce back from the defensive struggles highlighted in the viral clips. Stay tuned for more updates on Caitlin Clark’s journey as she aims to make a strong comeback in the WNBA.
