California Pizza Kitchen closes after 25 years in Cherry Creek mall

California Pizza Kitchen Closes Cherry Creek Shopping Center Location

California Pizza Kitchen has bid farewell to its Cherry Creek Shopping Center location after 25 years of operation. The national chain first entered the Colorado market at this mall, following its establishment in Beverly Hills, California, in 1985.

Despite multiple attempts to reach out, the corporate headquarters of CPK remained silent on the closure.

According to Mike Wilson, the general manager of the mall, a new business venture has already been finalized for the vacant space, although further details are currently undisclosed.

In recent years, California Pizza Kitchen’s presence in Colorado has significantly diminished. Following the company’s bankruptcy filing in 2020, locations in Boulder and Colorado Springs ceased operations. The status of a former Broomfield restaurant remains uncertain, with the closure date unspecified.

Currently, California Pizza Kitchen maintains only one Colorado store at Park Meadows mall in Lone Tree, as listed on the company’s official website.
