Celebrity Florida hairstylist Ryan Pearl accused of sexually preying on 15-year-old client
Celebrity hair colorist Ryan Pearl found himself in hot water after being arrested by undercover cops for allegedly sexually preying on a 15-year-old client at a luxury Florida salon. Pearl, known for his work with stars like Hailey Bieber, Jake Paul, and Sophie Turner, was taken into custody in Coconut Grove, a suburb of Miami.
The investigation into Pearl began when the victim’s mother discovered suspicious money deposits in her daughter’s Apple Wallet account and uncovered concerning texts between the 37-year-old stylist and her young daughter. The communications between Pearl and the minor began when she was just 13 years old, leading to explicit remarks and photos being exchanged.
The situation escalated when Pearl made plans to meet with the minor, who was actually an undercover detective posing as a teenager. During their conversations, Pearl sent a nude photo and made inappropriate comments, despite being aware of the girl’s age. When he was apprehended, police found pink cocaine, condoms, and vaping devices in his possession.
As a result of his actions, Pearl was charged with several offenses, including cocaine possession, contributing to the delinquency of a child, and using a computer to seduce a minor. He was also charged with traveling to meet a child after using a computer to lure them and electronically transmitting harmful content to a minor. His bond was set at $26,000, and he was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Known for his work at Miami’s Ollin Salon, Pearl charged between $200 and $650 for his hair coloring services. With over 117,000 followers on Instagram, he showcased his celebrity clients and unique styles. One of his most notable looks was when he colored Hailey Bieber’s hair a bubblegum pink bob for the 2018 Met Gala, where she made a splash alongside singer Shawn Mendes.
Despite his previous success in the industry, Pearl’s arrest has tarnished his reputation and raised serious concerns about the safety of minors in the beauty and entertainment world. It serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and accountability when it comes to protecting young individuals from potential predators.
