Charlie Kirk ‘South Park’ Episode Pulled From Comedy Central
Comedy Central Pulls “South Park” Episode Mocking Charlie Kirk After His Tragic Death
After the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk, Comedy Central has made the decision to no longer air reruns of a recent “South Park” episode that featured a character parodying Kirk. However, the episode titled “Got a Nut” is still available for streaming on Paramount+.
In the episode, which premiered on Aug. 6, the character Clyde Donovan launches a controversial podcast where he shares offensive views, sparking a heated debate at South Park Elementary. The character Clyde is later awarded the “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Master Debaters,” in a satirical twist mocking Kirk’s public persona.
Charlie Kirk initially reacted positively to a teaser of the episode, finding humor in the parody of himself. He emphasized the importance of being able to take a joke and not taking oneself too seriously, especially in the realm of public life and politics.
While Kirk’s initial reaction was lighthearted, Comedy Central decided to pull the episode from its rerun schedule out of respect for Kirk’s passing. However, the episode can still be viewed on Paramount+ for those who are interested in watching the controversial storyline unfold.
As of now, there has been no official response from the creators of “South Park,” Trey Parker and Matt Stone, regarding the decision to pull the episode from Comedy Central’s lineup.
