Chicken N Pickle to open first Colorado location this month in Thornton

Chicken N Pickle, a renowned national chain of pickleball entertainment venues, is set to debut its inaugural Colorado location in Thornton this month. This expansive venue spans over 3 acres and boasts more than 45,000 square feet, featuring a total of eight pickleball courts – six indoor and two covered outdoor courts.
“We’re excited to introduce Chicken N Pickle to Thornton, a community that aligns with our vision of providing a space where families, friends, and colleagues can bond and create lasting memories through engaging experiences,” expressed Chicken N Pickle CEO Brad Clarke.
Designed to cater to individuals of all ages and skill levels, the venue offers adaptive pickleball programming and inclusive environments that cater to seasoned players, newcomers, and families alike. The indoor courts showcase an open-air layout, with strategically placed garage doors that seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor areas – a unique feature exclusive to the Thornton location.
Beyond pickleball, the venue will also house a fast-casual restaurant specializing in wood-fired rotisserie chicken, along with various lawn games like cornhole, ping pong, Jenga, and life-sized Battleship. Additionally, guests can enjoy rooftop seating with three distinct event spaces.
Located in The Grove shopping center near the I-25 and 144th Avenue interchange, the entertainment complex is scheduled to open its doors on June 24. To celebrate the grand opening, free open play will be available on two pickleball courts throughout the day, alongside themed events and giveaways scheduled for the entire week.
Chicken N Pickle Thornton will operate from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, extending its hours until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and closing at 10 p.m. on Sundays. As a brand committed to community engagement, each Chicken N Pickle location employs a full-time community impact coordinator to support their philanthropic endeavors.
Since its inception, Chicken N Pickle has contributed over $5 million to local nonprofits, supporting nearly 9,000 charitable organizations and hosting numerous fundraisers. The brand’s commitment to giving back is evident through its various community-focused initiatives, including in-kind donations, property give-backs, and community cup campaigns.
Originally launched in North Kansas City, Missouri, in 2016, Chicken N Pickle has expanded into a national chain with locations across states like Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nevada, and Arizona. Don’t miss out on the latest business news – sign up for our On The Block newsletter to stay informed.
