Chiefs Aware of Domestic Violence Allegations Made By Rashee Rice’s Ex

The Kansas City Chiefs are facing allegations of domestic violence made by Rashee Rice’s ex-partner. The ex-partner, Dacoda Jones, took to social media to share her story, revealing that she had been in an abusive relationship with Rice for eight years, even enduring abuse while she was pregnant.

In a detailed statement posted on Instagram, Jones described the abuse she suffered at the hands of Rice, including incidents of physical violence and emotional manipulation. She explained that she had kept silent for years to protect Rice’s image, but decided to speak out to protect herself and her children.

While Jones did not directly name Rice in her post, she provided enough details for people to connect the dots. Rice’s own grandmother even commented on the post, dismissing Jones’ claims as lies motivated by a dispute over finances.

Jones went on to detail instances where Rice allegedly locked her out of their home in freezing temperatures, damaged her belongings, and showed up uninvited at her new residence, causing further distress. She also claimed that Rice abandoned her and their children in Kansas, forcing her to beg for money to relocate to Texas.

Despite these serious allegations, Rice’s attorney, Royce West, stated that his client has not been arrested or charged for domestic violence. The NFL declined to comment on the matter, but the Chiefs acknowledged that they are aware of the claims and are in communication with the league.

This controversy comes on the heels of Rice’s suspension earlier in the season for a hit-and-run incident in Texas. Despite his off-field troubles, Rice’s teammates have shown support for him, wearing “Free 4” shirts during his suspension.

As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the Chiefs and the NFL will respond to the allegations of domestic violence against Rice. In the meantime, Jones is determined to stand up for herself and her children, putting an end to the cycle of abuse and manipulation she endured for years.
