Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM is entering the Indian streaming market with a bang, thanks to a new partnership with Amazon MX Player. This collaboration will bring 18 popular K-drama series to Indian audiences, complete with Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubbing options.

The highlight of this partnership is the debut of “Lovely Runner,” a romantic hit that ignited a K-pop romance frenzy. The series is set to premiere on Amazon MX Player on September 8, with more beloved romance titles like “My Lovely Liar,” “Twinkling Watermelon,” “Wedding Impossible,” and “Delightfully Deceitful” rolling out over the next four quarters.

Amogh Dusad, director and head of content at Amazon MX Player, expressed excitement about meeting the growing demand for global content, especially Korean dramas, in India. He emphasized that this partnership will bring premium K-dramas to Indian audiences on the AVOD platform for the first time, offering a diverse selection of recent blockbusters.

CJ ENM’s expansion into the Indian market is a significant move for the company’s global distribution strategy.
