Clue Awards Open Submissions for 2026 Ceremony

CrimeCon’s Clue Awards is currently accepting submissions for its 2026 ceremony, set to take place during the annual flagship event in Las Vegas on May 30. The awards program celebrates excellence in true crime storytelling across various mediums such as television, podcasting, film, and publishing.

Television categories at The Clue Awards include outstanding episodic series, docuseries, and scripted series or film. In 2025, a new category for outstanding scripted series or film was added to recognize exceptional storytelling in this format. The podcast category will honor outstanding episodic series and docuseries, while awards will also be presented for outstanding documentary film and true crime book of the year. Individual achievement honors will also be given out during the ceremony.

Submissions for the 2026 awards are currently being accepted at a discounted rate until the Feb. 15 deadline. Regular submissions will be open until March 21, with a final deadline of April 1. Projects eligible for consideration must have been released between May 31, 2025, and March 31, 2026, and be accessible in the United States.

A panel of true crime content producers, executives, and creatives will be responsible for selecting the nominees and winners of the Clue Awards. Last year’s panel included professionals from Inside Crime, Campfire Studios, National Center for Victims of Crime, Law&Crime Network, CourtTV, and more.

The 2025 awards were hosted by Grammy-award winning hip hop artist and actor Ice-T, known for his role on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” Winners at the previous ceremony included Netflix’s “American Murder: Gabby Petito,” ABC News’ “The Girl Who Looked Like Me,” and MGM+’s “Godfather of Harlem.” Individual achievement awards were also presented to the families of Liberty German and Abigail Williams, Lead Investigator Lt. Jerry Holeman of the Indiana State Police (“Crimefighter of the Year”), and “Crime Weekly” hosts Derrick Levasseur and Stephanie Harlowe (“People’s Choice: Creator of the Year”).
