Costco locations begin to make the switch from Pepsi to Coca-Cola at food courts

Costco is making a switch from Pepsi to Coca-Cola drinks at its food courts.

The transition to Coca-Cola beverages at Costco’s food courts began in early July and is expected to be completed across all warehouses by the fall, according to a statement from The Coca-Cola Company to FOX Business.

This change coincides with President Donald Trump’s announcement on Truth Social about Coca-Cola potentially switching to cane sugar as a sweetener instead of high-fructose corn syrup, although Coca-Cola has not confirmed this claim.

The decision to switch to Coca-Cola products was hinted at earlier in the year by Costco CEO Ron Vachris, stating that the company would be transitioning its food court fountain business back to Coca-Cola during the summer.

This move marks a significant shift for Costco food courts, which had been offering Pepsi products since 2013.

Coca-Cola expressed excitement about the transition, mentioning that Costco members worldwide will soon be able to enjoy their favorite Coca-Cola beverages alongside the food court offerings.

Social media users have already started sharing images of Costco food courts with Coca-Cola cups visible, signaling the ongoing transition.

Costco’s food courts are just one of the many ancillary businesses the retailer offers, alongside gas stations, optical departments, hearing aids, and tire installation services.

As of Wednesday, Costco has 908 warehouses globally, with plans to reach 914 locations by the end of the fiscal year, including new openings in Canada, Mexico, and the US in August.

The company is set to release its fourth-quarter financial results in late September.
