Starting September 2nd, Costco’s Executive Membership holders can begin their shopping at 9 a.m. daily, an hour before regular store hours.

Costco, known for its bulk groceries and discounts, operates as a members-only club. The new “Executive Member Shopping Hours” allow these top-tier members to skip the lines and get ahead of the crowd.

This move by Costco aims to compete with Sam’s Club, which already offers early shopping hours for its Plus Membership holders.

Executive members can now enjoy early access to Costco’s various services, including food courts, optical centers, and pharmacies.

Costco’s 37.6 million executive members already receive perks like 2% rewards on purchases and a $10 monthly credit for same-day orders.

Lower-tier members also enjoy benefits such as discounts, fuel access, and more.

Costco’s revenue from membership fees has been on the rise, with expectations of expanding to new locations globally.

With these changes, Costco is hoping to attract more members to the executive level. It’s ultimately up to Costco’s loyal customers to decide if the extra hour is worth the upgrade.
