Daughter of Kentucky sheriff accused of gunning down judge slams online ‘gossip’

The daughter of a former Kentucky sheriff, who is accused of shooting a small town judge, has recently spoken out against online gossip surrounding her father’s case. Lila Stines, the 18-year-old daughter of Shawn “Mickey” Stines, took to TikTok to address the rumors and speculations circulating on the internet.

In a video posted on TikTok, Lila expressed her frustration with people spreading gossip about her father’s case. She emphasized that the rumors were causing her pain and asked the rumormongers to stop. Despite not delving into the details of her father’s legal situation, Lila made it clear that she wanted the online gossip to cease.

Shawn “Mickey” Stines was captured on surveillance video entering the chambers of District Judge Kevin Mullins and fatally shooting him. Although Stines has pleaded not guilty to the charges, the video evidence is compelling. The footage shows the two men exchanging cellphones before Stines shoots Mullins, who was a longtime friend of the former sheriff.

Stines immediately surrendered to authorities after the shooting, claiming that he believed his wife and child were in danger of being kidnapped. Reports have suggested a possible insanity defense in Stines’ case, but there have also been rumors of underlying tensions between the two men.

One woman, Tya Adams, alleged that Mullins ran his courthouse like a brothel, coercing women into sexual favors in exchange for leniency. Another individual, Sarah Davis, corroborated these claims, describing the stories from the parties as “nasty and sickening.”

Since the tragic incident, speculations have arisen about potential affairs between Mullins and Stines’ wife or even his daughter Lina. However, Lina has made it clear that she wants the rumors to stop and emphasized the impact of turning personal stories into entertainment.

In a follow-up video, she expressed her shock at the response to her initial post but reiterated her commitment to shedding light on the truth.
