Dave Chappelle Slams Bill Maher for Saudi Show Criticism: F– That Guy

In his latest Netflix special, “The Unstoppable,” Dave Chappelle didn’t hold back when addressing criticism from fellow comedian Bill Maher regarding his appearance at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia.

Chappelle, known for his unapologetic comedy style, addressed the backlash he received for performing in Saudi Arabia, particularly from white Americans. He expressed that he felt no guilt about his decision to participate in the festival and took a direct jab at Maher, calling him out for his commentary.

While Maher had initially praised the bravery of the comedians performing at the Riyadh Festival, he did take issue with Chappelle’s statement that it was “easier to talk” in Saudi Arabia than in America. Maher challenged Chappelle to do a comedy routine about Mohammed, which the latter addressed during his special.

Chappelle defended his statement about Saudi Arabia, highlighting the backlash he faced in the United States for his jokes about transgender individuals. He emphasized that his humor was well-received in Saudi Arabia, despite the controversy it sparked in America.

The Riyadh Comedy Festival featured a lineup of top comedians, including Kevin Hart, Pete Davidson, Bill Burr, Louis C.K., Whitney Cummings, and Aziz Ansari. While some comedians, like Maher and Jimmy Kimmel, criticized the festival, others like Burr and C.K. spoke positively about their experiences in Riyadh.

Chappelle’s bold statements and unapologetic humor continue to spark debate and push boundaries in the comedy world. His willingness to address controversial topics and stand by his comedic style sets him apart as a fearless and uncompromising performer.
