Del Taco reopening 17 restaurants, adding one across Colorado
Del Taco Reopening 17 Locations in Colorado
After closing all but one of its Colorado restaurants in February, Del Taco is now reopening 17 locations in metro Denver, Colorado Springs, and northern Colorado.
The company announced on Wednesday that the reopening will happen in phases, with the location at 3465 N. Salida St. in Aurora remaining closed.
Currently, three Colorado Springs locations, as well as ones in Lone Tree and Firestone, are already open according to the Del Taco website. A new location in Pueblo is also in the works.
Del Taco expressed gratitude for the patience and loyalty of its customers and stated, “We’re thrilled to once again serve the communities that have supported us since 2003.”
Specific reopening dates and locations will be announced as they become available. Del Taco operates approximately 590 restaurants across 18 states. The company was acquired by Jack in the Box Inc. in 2022.
In February, Del Taco closed most of its stores in Colorado without providing a reason, calling the closures temporary. However, a restaurant in Grand Junction, owned by a different franchisee, remained open.
As part of the reopening, Del Taco plans to install kiosks in each of the 17 locations. The menu will feature the return of the fan-favorite Macho Burrito line and the introduction of carnitas in various items such as burritos, quesadillas, street tacos, and loaded fries.
Other Del Taco locations in Colorado can be found in Brighton, Castle Rock, Centennial, Commerce City, Englewood, Greeley, Lakewood, and Parker.
