Democrats’ criminal-justice lies as bad as the Biden coverup

Former President Joe Biden’s health crisis and the subsequent cover-up by the White House have sparked outrage among Americans. The media’s complicity in hiding the truth has further fueled the public’s anger over being misled by trusted institutions.
Similarly, the false narratives surrounding public safety and justice reform laws have also come under scrutiny. Biden’s promises of redemption and rehabilitation within the criminal justice system have proven to be empty, much like the assurances of his health.
In reality, the recidivism rate for serious offenders remains high, with many re-offending within a year of release from prison. Reforms that prioritize social services over criminal consequences have only led to increased crime and reduced accountability.
One tragic case in the Bronx exemplifies the dangers of lenient parole and rehabilitation programs. Tyresse Minter, a violent offender, was released early and went on to murder his wife’s son. The false belief that enrolling in classes equates to rehabilitation only serves to endanger innocent lives.
New York’s bail reform laws, aimed at addressing mass incarceration and systemic racism, have also backfired. Judges are now unable to set bail for many offenses, leading to the release of potentially dangerous individuals back into society. This has eroded public trust in the criminal justice system.
Similarly, discovery reform laws have resulted in the dismissal of thousands of cases rather than convicting guilty criminals. The lack of accountability has left New Yorkers feeling unsafe and distrustful of the system’s ability to protect them.
The “Raise the Age” law, which removes criminal consequences for 16- and 17-year-olds, has also had detrimental effects. Teens are now living in fear of their violent peers, as the law fails to address repeated acts of violence. Youth arrests and victimization rates have surged as a result.
The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) has also come under fire for prioritizing social services over investigations into abuse and neglect cases. Several children have died under ACS’s supervision, highlighting the need for greater transparency and accountability.
To rebuild trust in our institutions, New Yorkers must demand policies based on truth and accountability. Revisions to bail laws, discovery laws, and youth justice laws are necessary to ensure public safety and hold offenders accountable. It is up to citizens to push for institutional honesty and demand transparency in our justice system.
