Denver-based CEO acquires e-commerce brands after stepping down
Jonathan Czaja Acquires The Pro’s Closet, Freebird, and Jane
Jonathan Czaja, former CEO of The Pro’s Closet, Freebird, and Jane, has taken ownership of these companies three months after stepping down. He purchased the companies from Elshair Cos., an Arizona private equity firm, last week. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Czaja highlighted the strong brand followings, big customers, and loyal audiences of the companies. Elshair had acquired and revitalized these businesses over the past two years, including TPC, Jane, and Freebird.
Despite financial difficulties, Czaja sees potential in the companies and aims for sustainable growth. TPC, under the leadership of Czaja, has seen $12 million in sales this year with plans to double that figure in 2026. Freebird is also showing promising results with new store openings and increased sales projections.
With a focus on profitability and industry expertise, Czaja plans to centralize operations while keeping a local tie to Denver.
