Denver’s friendliest neighborhood is Green Valley Ranch: Nextdoor
Denver’s Most Welcoming Neighborhoods According to Nextdoor
Located on the extreme northeast side of Denver, Green Valley Ranch is a master-planned community that often goes unnoticed by many Front Range residents as they head to Denver International Airport. However, according to the latest rankings from Nextdoor, this area is considered the friendliest neighborhood in Denver.
With a mix of affordable and market-rate housing, Green Valley Ranch is home to approximately 45,000 residents who actively engage with each other through the Nextdoor app. The rankings, based on community engagement, put Green Valley Ranch at the top spot, followed by Wash Park West and Montbello.
While the rankings may seem surprising compared to traditional lists that favor more affluent neighborhoods, Nextdoor emphasizes that their rankings are based on real neighbor interactions rather than perceptions. This includes how residents help each other, welcome newcomers, share resources, and support local businesses.
Despite previous concerns about crime rates, Green Valley Ranch and Montbello have seen a decrease in criminal activity in recent years. The community’s diversity and thriving atmosphere contribute to its high ranking in friendliness and affordability.
