Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will meet with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, Bondi says
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on Monday that Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche is scheduled to meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in the near future. Bondi stated that President Trump has instructed them to release all credible evidence, and if Maxwell has information regarding individuals who have committed crimes against victims, the FBI and DOJ are willing to listen to her.
Blanche emphasized that the joint statement released by the Justice Department and FBI on July 6, which stated that no additional files on Epstein would be disclosed and that there was no Epstein “client list,” remains accurate. He mentioned that no evidence was found during a recent review of FBI files in the Epstein case that would warrant an investigation against uncharged parties.
Furthermore, Blanche noted that no previous administration had approached Maxwell regarding her willingness to meet with the government until now. This statement comes amidst calls from lawmakers for Maxwell to testify about her association with Epstein, while the DOJ is actively opposing her appeals against her conviction for conspiring with Epstein in the sexual abuse of underage girls.
David Oscar Markus, Maxwell’s appellate counsel, confirmed that they are currently in discussions with the government. He assured that Maxwell is prepared to testify truthfully and expressed gratitude to President Trump for his commitment to uncovering the truth in the case. Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other offenses and received a 20-year prison sentence in 2022.
President Trump recently ordered the DOJ to release all Grand Jury testimony related to Jeffrey Epstein, subject to court approval. In a filing signed by Bondi and Blanche, the DOJ requested the court to acknowledge the Epstein and Maxwell cases as matters of public interest, release the grand jury transcripts, and lift existing protective orders.
In conclusion, the developments surrounding Maxwell’s upcoming meeting with Deputy Attorney Blanche indicate a significant step in the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s crimes. The commitment to transparency and accountability expressed by the government reflects a dedication to seeking justice for the victims of these heinous offenses.
ABC News’ Lauren Peller contributed to this report. There has been a recent surge in interest surrounding sustainable living and eco-friendly practices as people become more aware of the impact their actions have on the environment. From reducing plastic waste to lowering carbon emissions, individuals are looking for ways to lessen their environmental footprint and promote a more sustainable future.
One of the key components of sustainable living is the concept of zero waste, which involves minimizing the amount of waste produced and ultimately sending nothing to the landfill. This can be achieved through various practices such as recycling, composting, and reusing items instead of throwing them away.
Recycling is a common practice that many people are familiar with, but it is important to understand the importance of properly sorting and disposing of recyclable materials. By separating items such as paper, plastic, glass, and metal, these materials can be processed and turned into new products, reducing the need for raw materials and saving energy in the process.
Composting is another effective way to reduce waste and improve soil health. By collecting food scraps, yard waste, and other organic materials, individuals can create nutrient-rich compost that can be used to fertilize gardens and landscaping. Not only does this divert waste from landfills, but it also helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions produced by decomposing organic matter in landfills.
In addition to recycling and composting, reusing items is a simple yet effective way to reduce waste. This can involve using reusable bags and containers instead of single-use plastic ones, repairing items instead of throwing them away, and shopping second-hand to give new life to old items.
Sustainable living is not just about reducing waste, but also about making conscious choices to support environmentally-friendly practices. This can involve choosing products with minimal packaging, supporting local businesses that prioritize sustainability, and reducing energy consumption by using energy-efficient appliances and turning off lights when not in use.
As more people embrace sustainable living practices, the impact on the environment can be significant. By reducing waste, conserving resources, and supporting eco-friendly initiatives, individuals can contribute to a healthier planet for future generations. It is important for everyone to do their part in promoting sustainable living and working towards a more sustainable future.
